Barb Eddy MN, NP(F)

Family Nurse Practitioner

she/her/hers

Being one of the first Nurse Practitioners (NP) to practice in British Columbia, Barb’s desire to reduce the DTES peoples’ suffering is what fuelled her to find solutions for their physical and emotional pain. She was one of the designers of the Vancouver Community pain service, a unique and specifically designed model to care for the structurally vulnerable people of Vancouver’s inner city where she practices myoActivation.

Barb is an instructor for myoActivation and is completing the first research study of the myoActivation process.

Barb is also a mentor with Pain B.C.’s Adaptive Mentoring Network, chair of the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) NP OSCE committee, Adjunct Professor - UBC School of Nursing, and is an Associate Member of the UBC Department of Medicine, Division of Palliative Care.

Apart from Barb’s private practice in myoActivation, she also works in primary care supporting patients living with mental health and addictions.
