myoActivation

Reducing pain and improving function & wellbeing.

What is myoActivation?

myoActivation® is a systematic methodology used to assess and treat chronic pain and mobility impairment. Through the combination of activating muscles in sustained contraction, relaxing fascia in tension, and releasing relevant scars, myoActivation uses needles (no medication) with the aim to resolve pain, improve movement and restore wellbeing. The myoActivation methodology was developed by Dr. Greg Siren & has been applied in over 50,000 encounters in more than 8,000 patients. There are approximately 300 clinicians currently trained in this pain care.

To ensure quality assurance, myoActivation® has been trademarked.

“I saw Barb for myoA treatment in Nov 2022. I had been suffering from a serious concussion and associated whiplash for nearly 7 months. Barb suggested I come in for treatment as she thought it would help with my recovery. Barb was very professional and made me feel at ease right away. She knew exactly where to start and what to do to help with my recovery. I suffered so long with my concussion and whiplash and within the first two treatments with her I saw nearly instant improvement. My concussion took a serious mental toll on me and getting treated by Barb was one of the few things I did during my recovery that gave me hope that I would actually get better. Not only did my concussion and neck pain improve but my mental health improved HUGELY as well. I had no idea what myoActivation was before seeing Barb but since seeing her I've recommended everyone I know to go see her. MyoA is a very unique look at how the body works and I'm completely sold on it. I hope I never get seriously injured again but if I do my first call will be to Barb.”

I saw Barb for the first time in March 2023.  At that point I had been struggling with chronic post-concussion headaches and migraines for over 12 years along with severely limited cognitive capacity. I had tried all kinds of drugs and therapies, some of which improved things marginally, most of which didn’t help at all. On my second visit with Barb, we focused on my headaches.  After that treatment, the length of time that I could read, write and think doubled overnight and my migraines reduced from 3 to 4 per week to about once every week or two.  The background headaches that I suffer every day also reduced in intensity.  This treatment has given me so much of my life back!  I feel like a whole new person.

I remember it well. I had just left the pain management clinic. My second one. I was told that there no longer was a road map to my back and I would be crazy to let anyone try anything surgically as I could end up worse. Worse than endless nerve pain? Worse than the inability to run, play sports, have a life?? I spent my whole life playing ice hockey 3 times a week, going to the gym 5+ days per week. That was suddenly over. It was only days after the visit with the pain clinic that a friend referred me to try myoActivation with Barb. I truly had nothing to lose and I was about to have a much need holiday three weeks later in Puta Cana. I elected to go for it. MAN am I glad I did. The first session was insane. I felt immediate relief. It was too good to be true. I had driven there in agony, and drove away in disbelief! I had another session prior to my trip and it was a game changer. The relief I felt was something I hadn’t previously had, since the scar tissue arrived. That was 5 years ago. My botched back surgery took place 8 years ago. Since eliminating my scar tissue related pain, I started riding my bike daily to work (65 KM’s return), decided to go back to ice hockey (this was supposed to be completely unattainable, unexpected but so awesome !!). I basically got my life back. I write this after playing ice hockey tonight) a loss…who cares lol) and feeling completely grateful to my decision to go see Barb. I only hope it works for more people feeling helpless in their pain!
